      <title>Facility Technician</title>
      <description><![CDATA[<p>Provides general and detailed building and property maintenance for agency locations. Trains Residents in property maintenance.</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p><p>• Supervise Residents in the Maintenance Training Program.</p><p>• Train residents in appropriate areas of facility technician duties.</p><p>• Prepare rooms for move in by residents.</p><p>• Setup and break down meeting areas as described in E-space event software.</p><p>• Maintain floors in a clean state by sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and mopping.</p><p>• Assist staff to keep offices free of trash, mop, clean floors.</p><p>• Empty and clean trash receptacles and collect recycling.</p><p>• Clean, sanitize, and supply bathrooms.</p><p>• Clean and service custodial equipment as needed.</p><p>• Perform minor repairs on furniture, buildings, and equipment.</p><p>• Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to supervisor.</p><p>• Lock and unlock windows, doors, and gates.</p><p>• Ensure grounds areas are clean and orderly.</p><p>• Use appropriate PPE when required. Use safety signs etc. as needed / required.</p><p>• Perform other minor maintenance duties as assigned by supervisor.</p><p>Qualifications</p><p>• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.</p><p>• Previous custodial experience preferred.</p><p>• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.</p><p>• Have a NC driver’s license.</p><p>• Ability to use a smartphone and use a computer with Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office.</p><p>• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.</p><p>• Comfortable squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling while using tools and performing assigned duties.</p><p>• Possess working knowledge of the methods, technique, and materials used in custodial work.</p><p>• Ability to climb ladders and work from heights.</p><p>• Familiar with operating, caring for, and storing custodial equipment and supplies.</p><p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p><p>• Walking/Standing/Lifting/Bending/Climbing</p><p>• Speaking/Listening</p><p>• Driving</p>]]></description>
